Image splitter for exact pixel cuts

The Image Splitter is an image splitter for uneven cuts. Drag a line, type its pixel position, or nudge the selected cut by one pixel with the arrow keys. Zoom and pan when the file is large. The picture stays in this browser.

How to split an image

  1. Open an image

Drop a PNG, JPEG, WebP, or GIF on the page. The file is read locally. It is not sent to a server.

  2. Place each cut

Start from an equal grid, then drag a line or type a pixel value. Arrow keys move the selected cut by one pixel, and the cut snaps to a real pixel.

  3. Save the pieces

Download one slice or a zip of all of them. PNG is the default. JPG and WebP are there when you want a smaller file.

Questions

Does this image splitter upload my picture?
No. Cutting happens in the browser with the canvas. Closing the tab drops the file.
Can I split an image at an exact pixel?
Yes. Each cut lists its pixel position. Type a new number, or select the line and press an arrow key to move it by one pixel.
Can the pieces be different sizes?
Yes. An equal grid is only the starting point. Drag any line and the neighboring pieces change size. Row and column names stay in reading order.
Will the export match the original pixels?
PNG keeps the pixels in each region. JPG and WebP re-encode that region at the quality you set, which is useful for photos and smaller downloads.
